After five years of the game's release, it became the highest grossing and most played mobile application during that time frame receiving over 2.7 billion downloads.

Why does that happened? One of the  characteristic of this game is it's interface and design. It has so many colors that are very attractive to the eyes. It is like a heaven for those candy lovers. With colors of the candies, chocolates, characters and even the background of the game and players loved that. With also the easy controls to play the game, making it so popular to adults and parents because it don't have complicated game controls. Other is that the levels that varies as you go farther through the game.

In every level, the design is changed. Making the game more interesting and not boring because the level design varies. Also as the level goes farther, it also gets harder making it more challenging to those who plays the game. It comes to point where if you're very close to the goal that's also the time when you used up all of your moves and to start all over again. But that is when the game will offer you some extra moves in exchange of monetary value, and that's one place where they get their revenues. If you're only two moves away but loses all your moves, that will make you more eager to play the game over and over again.
